17 Primary Schools, 2 Secondary Schools, 1 amazing experience
Having worked collaboratively since 2009, The Catholic Schools Partnership was designated as a Teaching Schools Alliance in 2014 and is a respected partnership in Bradford and Keighley, comprising primary and secondary schools of the Blessed Christopher Wharton Catholic Academy Trust. Though the Teaching Schools programme ended in August 2021, we continue our strong tradition of Primary & Secondary Initial Teacher Training.
Building on the innovative work carried out by the partnership over the last 12 years, we work with our partners Leeds Trinity University & Blessed Christopher Wharton Catholic Academy Trust to secure high standards of ITT by promoting high aspirations, high expectations and nurturing excellent trainee teachers.
If you want to find out more about training to teach, our programme or our schools please don’t hesitate to get in touch by emailing ITT@bcwcat.co.uk
Our schools have excellent transport links by rail or car. We border Leeds, North Yorkshire, Lancashire and Halifax and have a diverse and rewarding range of schools. We are a Catholic Partnership, but like lots of our children, parents and teachers, you do not have to be Catholic to be a part of what we do.
You will be immersed in school life straightaway, part of our family. You will receive bespoke on the job training from a mentor, overseen by our Lead Mentor. We provide much of the training in partnership with St Mary's Teaching School and Bishop Konstant Catholic Multi-Academy Trust meaning you will get to see life in schools across West Yorkshire.
