Believing in God, ourselves and others

Whether you are from an established family within the community, a new parent, an interested visitor, pupil or governor I am sure you will find something of interest in our website.

As Executive  Headteacher at St Joseph's, I have witnessed the friendly, welcoming environment that characterises our school. I hope that any new members of our community will also feel the warmth and openness of our welcome.

The education children receive at St Joseph's has Gospel values at its very core; we are acknowledged in our local community as a good Catholic school with strong traditions and culture of inclusiveness.

All staff are enthusiastic and strive to encourage a love of learning and develop a climate of excellence.  We offer a broad, creative curriculum delivered through a wide range of teaching styles and extended learning opportunities to ensure that every child's needs are catered for. We are a one and a half form entry school and each year we welcome 45 children into our school. We have two small classes of 22/23 children in Reception so that they can make the best possible start with a small class size. Afterwards, we offer mixed-age teaching which has lots of benefits for everyone.  We are very proud of our exciting, broad curriculum and the many adventures that we take our children on.

The pages of this website offer you just a flavour of what our vibrant, multi-cultural school has to offer.  For more information, or to arrange a visit, please contact the school office.
